Senior Vice President of Business Affairs at Courtier House, Inc., Bobby Drake - “a stage name,” was born Larry D Brown II in Milwaukee, WI. Bobby works as part of the Executive Committee at Courtier House to develop and facilitate strategic partnerships. He started his career in the city of Milwaukee as a Spoken Word Artist. His consistent performances led him to utilizing his voice in many arenas including; Community and Political activism and strategy as a field director for the Campaign Against Violence Org (The early Milwaukee chapter of the League of Young Voters National Org), a Television Segment Producer with PBS Black Nouveau which led to an Emmy Award and two National Association for Black Journalists Awards and an Independent Music Award for Best Spoken Word album ("Hands Down"). He was the first artist awarded a micro loan for his album through the use of a business plan and has successfully raised capital through crowdfunding campaigns for himself as an artist. He is also currently the founder of an ecommerce workshop called Royalties Build Lifestyles, which teaches independent music artists how to build income strategies that generate royalties as an opportunity music artists can use to support their life with their music.
