SHONN HINTON

Shonn Hinton, born March 9, 1979 in Rockford, IL, raised in Milwaukee since 1982 is a product of Milwaukee’s under-rated diverse, fertile, underground community of singers, musicians, and songwriters. Shonn’s distinct signature sound has enhanced significantly in the past few years. His diversified sound has been compared to the smooth, melodic sound of Eric Clapton—in addition, he also has the intensified electric sound of Jimi Hendrix and Freddie King—all of which are major influences in his career.

Shonn had played in Milwaukee Music scene with youth choirs, with the Milwaukee band, Cigarette Break, churches including Greater New Birth and Christian Faith in Milwaukee, all before gaining an opportunity to play for Dave Hollister, Mary J. Blige, John Legend and many more.

Shonn has released four albums on streaming platforms including The Love Story (2013) and followed with a EP instrumental; From Me To You & an instrumental Ablum; Happy Hour (2014). Every song on Happy Hour was creatively named  after a drink. Shonn and his band Shotgun released two rock albums; Long Live ShotGun (2016) and Reloaded (2020). His most recent album release was another instrumental album; Aux Cord Chronicles (2021).   Shonn will now be adding a fifth album to the list this February 14, 2023 called ART.
